Low Water Immersion Dyeing- One layer

These fabrics were dyed using a one-Layer technique. I use a large cut of one fabric. I will fold it or twist it or scrunch it or anything else I think of. I then it in the bottom of a plastic shoe box container.  Next I will pour one or more dyes over the fabric and then soda ash. You will experience a variety of results depending on how the fabric is manipulated in the container. These fabrics were created in  a fabric dyeing class I taught, by my students and myself.
