New Quilts from an old favorite 2014; theme block; Carolina lily
My friend Janice Roy and I collaborated on a design for the contest; New Quilts from an Old Favorite. The contest is sponsored by the National Quilt Museum in Paducha, Kentucky. The theme block for 2014 was the Carolina Lily. I made the design using both my EQ7 design software and traditional paper & pencil. We didn't win but our quilt was chosen as a finalist. Our design is in the book that the museum publishes for each contest. It features all of the finalists and winners. You can see our entry below and the EQ representation of the design.
